Non-Scale Victories 08/01/13

It has been one of those weeks. One where this journey of mine seems endless. One where I can’t see any progress. One where I want to give up. Instead, I’m choosing to link up with my non-scale victories for the week!


This week, I actually have more than one!

  • In the office at work, there have been multiple packages of these bad boys. Normally I’m a chocolate kind of girl, but these were screaming my name. I didn’t have any of them for two out of three days! Two out of three may not seem too good to some of you. I consider it a win. If I had eaten them every day, it could have been so much worse.

  • A few nights ago, my family went out to dinner at a buffet, which would typically equal disaster for me. From the buffet, I got a salad and a roll. I also ordered a dinner of grilled shrimp over rice, which came with a baked potato. For dessert, I had a piece of peanut butter fudge and a few spoonfuls of ice cream. Was it a lot of food? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I ate every single bite of that food, and it was delicious. Like I said before, this may not seem like a huge accomplishment, but it’s definitely a change from how I would have approached a buffet in the past. I also came home from that buffet and worked out. Success.

  2. Passing up treats ANY day is a victory in my eyes, and way to go at the buffet! Those are so easy to just get crazy and eat like a crazy pants, but you kept it in control and came home and worked out!! Wahoo, keep it up and thanks for linking up with us!!

  3. 2 out of 3 is definitely a victory in my eyes because it is an improvement on what you may have done in the past! Also buffets are rough. That is so great that you stayed on track! Thanks for linking up!
