It has been one of those weeks. One where this journey of mine seems endless. One where I can’t see any progress. One where I want to give up. Instead, I’m choosing to link up with my non-scale victories for the week!
This week, I actually have more than one!
- In the office at work, there have been multiple packages of these bad boys. Normally I’m a chocolate kind of girl, but these were screaming my name. I didn’t have any of them for two out of three days! Two out of three may not seem too good to some of you. I consider it a win. If I had eaten them every day, it could have been so much worse.
- A few nights ago, my family went out to dinner at a buffet, which would typically equal disaster for me. From the buffet, I got a salad and a roll. I also ordered a dinner of grilled shrimp over rice, which came with a baked potato. For dessert, I had a piece of peanut butter fudge and a few spoonfuls of ice cream. Was it a lot of food? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I ate every single bite of that food, and it was delicious. Like I said before, this may not seem like a huge accomplishment, but it’s definitely a change from how I would have approached a buffet in the past. I also came home from that buffet and worked out. Success.
