Another non-scale victories linkup today!
- Hello, I’m Kristian, and I’m a pop addict. I love it. Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper – even Coke if the place is stupid and doesn’t offer Pepsi products. All of that bubbly goodness. Fantastic. When I lost weight the first time (read about it here), quitting pop was what really started the process. I usually drank 4 to 5 cans of Diet Mountain Dew every day, and I just had to stop. Talk about headaches. Ugh. Anyway, I kept that up for a couple of years, but I started slowly adding pop back in when I got to college. It was never close to the amount that I drank previously, but I would go on “binges” (if you can call them that) for a few days and basically drink every Pepsi in sight. This usually happened when I was home for breaks. One of my resolutions for this year was to quit pop once and for all, and I’ve done it so far! I get the occasional Pepsi craving, but I’ve been able to resist. 50 days and counting!
- Water. About the opposite of what I just talked about, I don’t drink enough of it. I know there’s a formula for how much to drink per day, but I just aim for a gallon. It’s easier that way. I’ve been able to drink the entire gallon for the past three days! It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a good start.
