The Bachelorette Season 10 Finale Recap

Wow. That’s really the perfect word to describe my feelings after watching the finale. If you don’t want to know how it ends, stop reading now.

Seriously.

Stop reading.

Last chance.

I absolutely love The Bachelorette, even more so than The Bachelor. 25 guys vs. 25 girls? Come on, it’s a no-brainer. The show might seem shallow and fake, and it absolutely can be. I get that. However, there have also been true and lasting relationships developed because of the show, and I love a good romantic story. So I keep watching.

BacheloretteI wasn’t as into this season as I have been in the past though. Mostly because Andi wasn’t my favorite from Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor. Alright, let’s be real. I absolutely did not like Nikki (who ended up winning), and she is pretty good friends with Andi. Dislike by association is a real thing. I couldn’t just not watch it though, so I had a two-day Bachelorette marathon last week. I dreamed of roses. It was a little much. I did start liking Andi the more I watched, but she’s not my favorite bachelorette.

Now onto the guys. I liked Nick from the very beginning because he seemed so different from the other guys. I know they tried to play him as the villain, but I just didn’t see it. Josh was never really on my radar. I actually found him kind of annoying. We get it. You were a professional baseball player. Enough already. He grew on me as the season progressed though, and I’m glad he ended up with Andi. They seem really happy together.

Now onto the most awkward thing I’ve ever seen on The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. If you watched last night, you probably know exactly what I’m talking about. There has always been an unspoken rule rule in Bachelordom that what happens in the fantasy suite, stays in the fantasy suite. Nick broke that rule. On live television. He was so far over the line that he couldn’t even see it anymore. His words were something to the effect of, “if you weren’t in love with me, why did you make love with me?” No bueno. I actually put my hands over my eyes because it made me so uncomfortable. I thought Chris Harrison might jump in and change the topic before the speeding train went crashing over the cliff. Unfortunately, he didn’t. Reality television gold.

On a much less awkward note, I am disappointed that they didn’t announce the next bachelor. Personally, I’m rooting for Chris because he seems so genuine.

Or at least as genuine as you can be on national television. Plus, he’s cute. Enough said.

As for Bachelor in Paradise, they’ve really been pushing that hard. I have yet to decide if I’m going to watch it. I never watched Bachelor Pad, so I really don’t know what to expect. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Were you as uncomfortable watching last night as I was?

  1. I was thinking the same thoughts as I was watching last night. But seriously Chris NEEDS to be the next bachelor. It will definitely be my favorite season when he’s on. Might even have to drop out of school to go on the show if he’s it 😉 kidding, well kind of!! hah
